Rosalia
Rosalia Vila, also known as Rosalia Rosaly, is an Spanish performer of flamenco. Her work has led to her being a part of popular and traditional music in her early years, she is a part of other music genres, like hip-hop, soul and trap. Pepe Habichuela, a flamenco guitar player with a lot of talent, describes her voice as one that was sweet and had an old-fashioned bite. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist and her follow-up album in 2018. El Mal Querer was a significant commercial and critical success leading Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and finally receiving a Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami, her third album comprised songwriting collaborations featuring Cory Henry, James Blake as well as other musicians. In March 2022 the set was introduced following the Saturday Night Live's show Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia is the very first Spanish singer to perform solo on the show. While she also won three more Latin Grammy Awards for Motomami Rosalia was also the very first female to be awarded this award twice. Latin Album of the Year twice.
